New coach Kevin Hartzell takes the reins, and the New Mexico Ice Wolves start the year with an innovative leadership training program developed by a US Navy SEAL Chief and a seasoned mentor to many NHL players. Learning that each and every player is a leader in their own way the Ice Wolves go into a tough exhibition series against the US National Team – NTDP U17’s, and their roster full of future NHLers, hosting a pair of sold-out games at the Outpost arena while introducing the Nation’s best to an unlikely hockey town in the middle of the desert.
