The Taylor Trilogy Part 3: Looking At It Now.

The third, and final, oral history of the Eras Tour. We talked to swifties from ages 15 to 50 to hear all the final reflections from their experience in Swiftieapolis.

The spotlight on Taylor Swift and the Eras Tour continues to grow and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. As the tour continues to dominate America, international Swifties begin their preparations as she takes her tour worldwide next year. The top music charts continue to be filled with Swift songs following her recent release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). So it's safe to say, this is only the beginning of the Taylor Swift takeover.

Weeks have passed since Taylor Swift brought the Eras Tour to Minneapolis. The tour has moved on to other Swifties in new cities. Swift has even moved on to a new album. But the Minnesota Swifties stay there, mentally, in the U.S. Bank Stadium.

We at Pulltab Sports have taken you on a journey through the Eras Tour. Following the excitement days before, the initial reactions the day after, and now, for the last time, we hear from the Minnesota fans about the reflection of it all.

Looking at it now…

Colette (15): Ever since a couple of weeks ago, every interaction I’ve had with friends or family has included a 20 minute debrief about how amazing the concert was and how absolutely incredible Taylor is, as a performer and person. She is the talk of the planet right now, and that magic she created at the concert is unforgettable.

Lexi (21): Just the overall energy I felt the whole night has stuck with me. I would definitely love to relive it if I could.

Anna (29): I can’t get over her stamina.

Molly (21): Seeing Taylor rise up out of the stage for the first time was the most memorable thing for me from both nights. I’ll never forget how lucky I felt to be there, and how special Taylor made it for us in Minneapolis both nights.

Annabelle (17): Taylor’s more rock-like rendition of the Illicit Affairs bridge has become one of my most memorable parts of the show. It caught me off guard in the best way possible.

Teresa (51): I have grown to love the song Marjorie more and more since the tour. I’ve listened to it several times. It reminds me of my Mom.

Lillian (20): The dancers and the surprise songs have stuck with me the longest. Especially with the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and Dear John being a surprise song.

Annabelle: My feeling of excitement when she announced Dear John as the surprise song hasn’t left my mind, even over a week later.

Zach (21): Daylight being played as a surprise song got even more special after the concert.

Annabelle: I don’t check up on other shows as much since my show has passed, but I do always try and watch the surprise songs.

Molly: I am always up to date with the surprise songs each night, guests, and any other tricks she pulls each night. My whole for you page on TikTok is literally just Taylor Swift, and I love that.

Colette: The surprise song list will get interesting the farther we get into the tour dates because she will run out at some point. Knowing Taylor, though, she’ll add in a lot of new and fun surprises to the concert.

Zach: As the Eras Tour continues, I’m excited to see if anything changes about the set list with Speak Now being released, or with international dates.

Molly: I love seeing new outfits, surprise songs, note changes in the current set list, and just everything really. She’s so talented as a performer and I'm excited to see how she continues through the next years of touring.

Lexi: I think if she releases any of the other re-recordings by the end of the tour, it would be really interesting to hear the vault songs as surprise songs and maybe hear what they are about or what they mean to her.

Zach: I think I just became even more excited to hear more of the re-records and more new music from Taylor after hearing so much of it live.

Colette: I think most people can say that they have just been listening to her music non-stop since the show, which is true for me as well.

Molly: My Swiftie level grows on the daily. The Eras Tour has definitely played a role in that, as I feel like I was able to fully experience the magic of THE Taylor Swift.

Anna: I’m more of a Swiftie than ever before! Still haven’t stopped listening since the show.

Anna: I bought a sweatshirt and I wear it almost every night.

Colette: Post-concert, I’ve been wearing my merch an unhealthy amount of times.

Lillian: I work at a movie theater and the amount of times i’ve seen people come in wearing Eras Tour shirts since the concert is crazy.

Lexi: I have always been an avid Swiftie, but now I can say I have been in the same room as her! The whole day was just a blast, and I would definitely love to relive it if I could.

Anna: When people ask me how the concert was, my response is that it was everything I could’ve ever imagined and more. Best night of my life.

Colette: There are no words or amounts of energy I could muster up in those situations to accurately describe what an experience the concert was.

Zach: The best concert ever. End of sentence.

Molly: I miss Taylor Swift every day. If I could go to the Eras Tour every weekend I totally would.

Annabelle: I already loved Taylor so much before the show, but seeing her live was an experience that made me love her that much more. She is an incredible performer.

Anna: She is paving ways for artists to own their music, and created the best concert experience.

Annabelle: I think Taylor is so important in 2023 because she shows that female performers don’t have an expiration date. She has remained so relevant at such a high level for 17 years, something that few artists can do.

Teresa: Taylor is a great role model.

Molly: Taylor Swift has always been at the forefront of culture and society in music and the media, but in 2023 her presence matters even more. She is the best role model and ally in so many of the difficulties of our world today.

Lillian: She’s giving other artists the idea to fight for the rights of their music ownership.

Colette: Her songwriting can do things no other artist can do right now, and I think her influence will only continue to grow. Just like Phoebe Bridgers said, “I’m grateful to have grown up in a world with Taylor Swift in it… or The World (Taylor’s Version).”

Zach: Why is any songwriter or musical artist important in 2023? Take that answer times 10 and you will have an answer for why Taylor swift is important.

Lexi: Taylor is so important because she is an escape for so many people. I have seen so many TikToks of young Swifties attending the tour and it is just amazing that people of all ages get to enjoy her show and her music.

The end.

The final chapter on the stories of our Swifties has come to a close and the Minneapolis leg of the tour has passed. But the love for Miss Swift seems far from over as she moves her tour across the world next summer. Who knows what she will conquer next? Outer space?
