3-1 for my NFL picks. Sad to see Stefon Diggs let a sure fire TD go through his hands in a three-point Buffalo loss.

Amateur Nick Dunlap became the first amateur since Phil Mickelson in 1991 to win a PGA Tournament. This video of his Alabama teammates celebrating is so good.

You’ve all seen the video of Caitlin Clark getting run over by an Ohio State fan storming the court, but the video I want you to see from the Buckeyes’ win over No. 2 Iowa is this one, of Jacy Sheldon celebrating with her sister.

Wild’s Win Streak at Two

You had a feeling that once Kirill Kaprizov took off, so would the Wild. Dolla Bill Kirill scored three times-he’s got 10 goals in 10 games-as the Wild won at Carolina 5-2 on Sunday to win its second straight. That coming on the heels of a crazy 6-4 win at Florida that saw Marc-Andre Fleury suffer a head injury.

Now, the Wild must continue this momentum on its upcoming three-game homestand, which starts Tuesday against Washington. But two of its next four games are against bottom feeders Anaheim and Chicago. If they’re going to make a run, a little more than a month from the trade deadline, it has to be now.

Wolves Falter Late in Home Loss to OKC

The top two teams in the West put on a show Saturday at Target Center, but the Wolves couldn’t keep a nine-point lead with seven minutes left and succumbed 102-97 to Oklahoma City.

These are the games that will drive the Wolves crazy when they have the second seed, and not home court against the Thunder in the conference finals. Actually, their last three losses are all maddening. The Wolves weren’t very good early, but still seemed in control midway through the fourth quarter. Then, they just started throwing the ball away.

In two critical possessions late, Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns didn’t get the shot. ANT did get fouled with a couple ticks left on a 3-pointer trailing by three, but he missed the first two free throws and had to miss the last trying to get are bound. But he couldn’t even hit the rim to make that happen.

The Wolves host Charlotte tonight in the first of three straight against Western Conferenceteams.

Gophers Hockey

The Gopher men finally swept a Big 10 opponent, simply out classing a one-conference-win Ohio State team at Mariucci. That’s now five straight for the Gophers, who are at a good Michigan State team this weekend. The Spartans have suddenly overtaken Wisconsin for first place, averaging more than four goals per game in the Big 10.

On the women’s side of things, the Gophers rebounded from their lost weekend against No. 1 Ohio State by sweeping an overmatched Bemidji State team by a combined 5-1 margin. It’s a home-and-home this weekend against Minnesota State.

Gopher Hoops

After a promising start to the Big 10 season (two wins to begin the New Year), the Gopher men have now dropped three straight in conference. They’ll try to reverse that at home against Wisconsin on Tuesday.

The Gopher women ripped Michigan State 69-50 Saturday and have now won three of four conference games heading into Tuesday night’s road tilt in Madison.
