Florida Panthers are Stanley Cup champions. I don’t buy into the people who are mad about their so called advantage due to no state tax. The Panthers were bad for a long time. Now if you want to talk about sandy beaches leading to an advantage…He could re-sign with Florida, but Conn Smythe winner Sam Bennett would look awfully good in Iron Range Red next season and beyond…

The Frost have now lost three of their top four defenders to the expansion Vancouver Frost after Melissa Channell-Watkins signed there yesterday. She’s the daughter of former Wild scout Craig Channell.

This foursome set out on a path to play 99 holes of golf in one day in Scotland.

Lynx Win, but Lose Collier

MVP candidae Napheesa Collier left last night’s 76-62 win over Las Vegas at Target Center with a back injury. Courtney Williams scored 20 poionts to help lift the Lynx, who moved to 11-1.

The win also clinched a victory in the Commissioner’s Cup championship game. The Lynx, the defending champion in the Commissioner’s Cup, will host Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on July. 1. Fever coach Stephanie White gave an impassioned plea to WNBA officials last night after Clark got physically abused for about the 50th game in a row…

The Lynx next plays Saturday in L.A.

Twins Drop 5 Straight

Things are quickly getting away from the Twins

Minnesota lost its fifth straight game last night, falling 6-5 in Cincinnati in a game in which Simeon Woods-Richardson didn’t allow a hit through four innings.

Despite trailing 4-1, the Twins rallied for a 5-4 lead before Brock Stewart gave up two runs in the sixth inning.

Worse yet? Watching Emilio Pagan pick up his 17th save. The guy looked like his career was over when he was here just a couple years ago.

Good to see Byron Buxton back; he hit a homer. Carlos Correa is just 2-for-17 in his last four games.

Bailey Ober pitches tonight in game 2 of the series.
